THE LONDON SCHOOL OF FURNITURE MAKING: Make Your Own Project (Supervised Access)

Furniture making courses in London. We run woodwork classes, for adult learners. Our woodwork short course is suitable for experienced students who want to deepen their knowledge. A series of introductory cabinet making lessons build into a comprehensive set of carpentry skills. We teach you how to use joinery to create a coffee table or a make a Japanese coffee table. You can learn how to make boxes and we have a workbench class too. We offer a steam bending class.

Make Your Own Project (Supervised Access)

WEEKDAYS: 9.00 - 16.00      FEE: £90/day - £45/half day

After you've made a few of our projects you are going to want to make one of your own. The workspace isn't huge so your project can't be too big. A coffee table would be great but a dining table not so much.

Helen or Sam will be available to help you with any questions you have or to explain a particular technique. However, as this is not a formal class, you will be expected to work independently and there will be other students using the facilities at the same time.

You are welcome to bring in your own tools and materials and leave them here for the duration of your project.

If you haven't been a student with us before then we will need you to demonstrate that you understand the basics of workshop safety and tool maintenance. We'll more than likely set you a little sharpening task. If you don't yet have these basics, then take our Core Skills Joinery class to get you up to speed.

Supervised Access days are held several times a month.
